Punjabi actress Tania opened up for the first time about the attack on her father, Dr. Anil Jit Singh Kamboj, three months after the unfortunate incident.
On July 4, Dr. Anil Jit Singh Kamboj was shot by two unidentified men who had come to his clinic in Kot Ise Khan pretending to be patients. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Moga, a town in Punjab’s Moga district.
Sharing her emotional journey on Instagram on Saturday, October 4, Tania posted photos and videos from the hospital and wrote:
“This is what my last 3 months have looked like. From July 4th till today… Life has taken me through corridors I never imagined walking—ICUs, OTs, endless waiting rooms. Every day has been a test of faith, strength, and surrender.”
She revealed the stark contrast in her days during this difficult period: “Some mornings I was under studio lights, smiling for the camera… and by night, I was in the ICU, holding back tears at my father’s bedside.”
Tania reflected on how her perspective and priorities drastically changed, stating, “Somewhere in between, my life changed, and I had no idea how it had shifted from vanities to ventilators. How I no longer talked about scripts, lipstick shades, and cameras. But it was all about tracheostomy, gut bleeds, TLC counts, and blood units. But now I value life more than anything.”
Expressing heartfelt gratitude, Tania thanked God for giving her the strength and support to face this immense challenge. She acknowledged, “Despite all the battles, I am thankful to God, who, if entrusted me with this challenge, also blessed me with the strength and support to face it.”
Furthermore, she shared a deeper appreciation for her craft, saying, “I have come to value the artist in me even more, because while the world often sees actors only as entertainers, for me, this craft is also a livelihood.”
Tania concluded by admitting that her journey is far from over, signaling her determination to keep moving forward despite the hardships.
