**Krishna Avanti Primary School Achieves “Outstanding” Rating in Latest Ofsted Inspection**
Krishna Avanti Primary School, the UK’s first state-funded Hindu school located on Camrose Avenue, Edgware, has been rated “Outstanding” across all areas in its most recent Ofsted inspection held on June 24 and 25, 2025. The school received high praise for excellence in teaching, leadership, and the learning environment.
According to *Harrow Online*, inspectors commended the school’s collective vision of educating “spiritually compassionate changemakers” — a philosophy embraced by pupils, staff, parents, and trustees alike. The Ofsted report highlighted how students “thrive” regardless of their background, meeting high expectations and achieving success across all areas of study.
The behaviour within the school was described as “calm and productive,” with pupils consistently showing courtesy, respect, and responsibility. Leadership roles such as the school council, arts council, and ‘eco warriors’ were noted for fostering a caring and supportive school culture.
Inspectors also lauded the school’s broad and ambitious curriculum, with particular emphasis on early literacy and mathematics. Teachers were praised for their “strong subject knowledge” and consistent instructional quality, contributing to an engaging and effective learning experience.
For students with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), the report highlighted the school’s targeted support framework, ensuring all learners can fully access and participate in the curriculum, as reported by *Harrow Online*.
Principal Shriti Gadhia described the exceptional Ofsted outcome as a “testament to the dedication, passion, and hard work” of the entire school community — including learners, staff, parents, and stakeholders. She added that the rating endorses their ongoing efforts to provide a safe and high-quality education aligned with the school’s core vision.
Avanti Schools Trust CEO Dr James Biddulph MBE welcomed the achievement, crediting the leaders, teaching staff, support staff, and administrators across the school. He stated that the “Outstanding” rating reflects the Trust’s commitment to delivering an “exceptional educational journey” for all children while nurturing spiritually empathetic changemakers.
Previously rated “Good,” Krishna Avanti Primary School is part of the Avanti Schools Trust and was among the first state-funded Hindu-faith primary schools in the UK. This latest rating underscores the school’s continuous development and its outstanding level of education.
