A man allegedly died by suicide Thursday at Disney’s Contemporary Resort hotel in Florida’s Walt Disney World. Emergency services confirmed a man died on the property, The U.S. Sun reported Thursday.
A source close to the investigation told the outlet the man died by suicide after jumping from his 12th-floor room. He had checked in Wednesday night and paid for the room in cash, according to the source.
This marks the third death in the park in the last 10 days and the second suicide, according to the outlet.
Video footage shared on TikTok Thursday morning shows significant police presence surrounding the pool area of the property at Disney’s Bay Lake Tower. “We were told it was a ‘medical emergency.’ Prayers to the family & those involved,” the social media user who shared the clip wrote.
The area was visibly taped off with crime scene tape. Additional footage obtained by TMZ appears to show a group of officials surrounding a body covered in a tarp.
The Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office in Orlando confirmed the death to TMZ. “We are still in the process of completing our exams,” the office told the outlet, indicating the investigation is ongoing.
There was a reported suicide on the property on October 14, and another body was found October 21 at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground, according to TMZ.
The alleged suicide victim from October 14 was identified as 31-year-old Summer Equitz. The second deceased person located on the property was reportedly “a man in his 60s” who experienced a “medical episode.” No foul play is suspected in Tuesday’s incident, according to TMZ.
The Daily Caller reached out to the Walt Disney World Theme Park for comment but has not received a response as of publication.
