The winners of the 2025 Dog Photography Awards have been revealed, with Belinda Richards from Melbourne, Australia, crowned Dog Photographer of the Year.
Richards impressed the judges with her creative, conceptual portraits featuring a pup named Penny growing into a dog. On her Instagram page, Richards shared that she focused on Penny’s ears throughout the series, describing them as “the greatest change.”
The competition attracted 2,036 entries from talented photographers across 48 countries, including China, Australia, Italy, and Finland. A cash prize of $2,900 (2,500 Euros) was awarded, along with an engraved trophy for the winner.
Categories spanned a variety of styles, including Portrait, Outdoors, Action, Studio, Dogs and People, Documentary, and Open.
