Crusader Kings 3 has continued to receive plenty of interesting content since Paradox Interactive released it in 2020. The game just got even more expansive, opening up the map to most of Asia and bringing a wealth of Chinese, Japanese, and Southeast Asian content to its grand strategy gameplay.
Even several years after launch, Paradox remains dedicated to offering more for fans who want to keep expanding their Crusader Kings 3 experience. I had the chance to speak with QA Manager Riad Deneche and Producer Lucia Dzediti about how the game has evolved and how the team keeps the base game exciting, even as they introduce new features and regions.
**A Long-Awaited Expansion: All Under Heaven**
All Under Heaven was a long time coming. The Asian continent has been on the periphery of Crusader Kings 3 campaigns since launch, with features like The Silk Road economic storyline providing a brief glimpse into its rich history. Now, All Under Heaven finally answers the constant requests to include Asian politics and leaders in the game, introducing a wealth of famous rulers spread across China and the greater Asian continent.
The Paradox team was proud to finally tackle this long-requested content for fans. The developers invested heavily in historical research to ensure the storylines of far Eastern leaders were represented accurately and with depth. According to the team, exploring and implementing these histories was one of the most enjoyable parts of the process.
**Expanded Content for East and West**
Of course, All Under Heaven doesn’t leave out players who prefer to focus on Western civilizations. The Silk Road storylines have been further expanded, and new features have been added to ensure that the politics and stories introduced in All Under Heaven can impact Western campaigns as well—if you want them to.
With All Under Heaven, Crusader Kings 3 offers more ways than ever to shape the course of history, no matter which part of the world your dynasty calls home.
