Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs breaks another prison rule within days of alleged alcohol bust

Posted on 2025 年 11 月 11 日 by admin

Sean “Diddy” Combs has reportedly run into trouble shortly after his transfer to Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution in New Jersey. Within days of being moved to the low-security prison, the music mogul allegedly violated prison rules by participating in a prohibited three-way phone call.

According to CBS News, the incident occurred on November 3, just four days after Combs, 56, was transferred from the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York. Prison documents reveal that Combs made a call to an unnamed woman to discuss arranging visitors for the upcoming weekend. During the conversation, he suggested they bring “200 singles” in cash—a violation of prison regulations, which only allow visitors to bring coins for vending machines.

After this part of the call ended, Combs requested to speak with someone identified as “the digital person” regarding blogs. When the woman asked if she should add that person to the call, Combs said “Yes.” Later, Combs informed officials that the woman was his attorney and the male on the call was the head of legal communications. He stated that the call was about issuing an unspecified statement to The New York Times and denied discussing blogs.

The U.S. Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Prisons clearly prohibits third-party or three-way calls, stating they are “not authorized.” Despite this, Combs claimed he was never informed about the rule and insisted he did not receive the prison admission and orientation handbook.

CBS News reports that officials recommended a penalty of 90 days loss of phone privileges and 90 days loss of commissary privileges for the infraction. However, it remains unclear if this punishment has been enforced.

A source familiar with the investigation told the outlet, “This is a serious offense that shows a disregard for the rules.” On the other hand, Combs’ publicist, Juda Engelmayer, defended the call, arguing that the “procedural call” was protected under attorney-client privilege and was therefore not improper.

Earlier, shortly after Combs arrived at Fort Dix, TMZ reported that he was caught allegedly consuming homemade alcohol—a fermented mixture made from Fanta soda, sugar, and apples, which some inmates create.

Engelmayer added, “Mr. Combs is in his first week at FCI Fort Dix and is focused on adjusting, working on himself and doing better each day.”

She also addressed the public, saying, “As with any high-profile individual in a new environment, there will be many rumors and exaggerated stories throughout his time there—most of them untrue.” Engelmayer urged people to “give him the benefit of the doubt” and “the privacy to focus on his personal growth with grace and purpose.”

Sean “Diddy” Combs is currently serving a 50-month sentence for two counts related to transportation to engage in prostitution.
