The price of gold has risen again in the domestic market, marking a significant increase this time. The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) announced on Monday night, 22 September, that the price of gold per vori has increased by BDT 1,889. This hike has set a new record, with the price of one vori of 22-carat gold now standing at BDT 191,196.
The new rates will take effect from Tuesday, 23 September. Here is the detailed breakdown of the updated gold prices per vori:
– **22-carat gold:** Increased by BDT 1,889, now priced at BDT 191,196
– **21-carat gold:** Raised by BDT 1,796, bringing the price to BDT 182,495
– **18-carat gold:** Increased by BDT 1,540, now at BDT 156,426
– **Traditional method (Sonaton) gold:** Up by BDT 1,318, with the new rate at BDT 129,797
Despite the rise in gold prices, the price of silver has remained unchanged. The last adjustment for silver was made on 16 September.
