Posted on 2025 年 11 月 21 日 by admin

A 6-year-old who police believe ran across the road was seriously injured when they were struck by a car in Norwalk on Thursday. Emergency crews responded to the area of 11 Seaview Ave. when they received multiple 911 calls about the crash just after 3: 45 p. m., according to Lt. Tomasz Podgorski of the Norwalk Police Department. Podgorski said first responders found the child on the sidewalk and the grass area adjacent to the westbound lanes. The child suffered serious injuries and was treated at the scene before being taken in an ambulance to Norwalk Hospital, according to Podgorski. The child’s condition was not immediately clear. The police department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit and Identification Unit responded to the scene. A preliminary investigation found that a driver who was headed east struck the child as they ran across the road, Podgorski said. The driver stopped and has been cooperative with police. The incident remains under investigation. Witnesses to the crash have been asked to contact Crash Reconstruction Unit Officer Equi at 203-854-3035 or TEqui@norwalkct. gov.
