**Pakistan’s Sidra Amin Reprimanded for Violating ICC Code of Conduct**

Pakistan women’s cricket team player Sidra Amin has been reprimanded for violating the International Cricket Council (ICC) Code of Conduct during a match against India in Colombo on Sunday.
According to an official ICC statement, Amin breached Article 2.2, which relates to the “abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during an International Match.”
### Incident Report
The incident occurred when Amin slammed her bat on the pitch after being dismissed in the 40th over of the match. Amin accepted responsibility for her actions and agreed to the sanction proposed by match referee Shandre Fritz.
Since this was her first offense within a 24-month period, she received a single demerit point for a Level 1 breach. This allowed her to avoid a formal hearing.
### Official Charges
Charges against Amin were brought forward by on-field umpires Lauren Agenbag and Nimali Perera, third umpire Kerrin Klaaste, and fourth umpire Kim Cotton.
Level 1 offenses under the ICC Code of Conduct can result in an official reprimand or a penalty of up to 50% of a player’s match fee. In this case, Amin accepted the punishment proposed by the match referee, avoiding further disciplinary proceedings.
### Match Outcome
Despite Sidra Amin top-scoring with 81 runs off 106 balls, Pakistan was bowled out for 159 while chasing India’s competitive target of 248. Pakistan lost the match by 88 runs, marking their second defeat in the ongoing World Cup tournament—having previously lost their opener against Bangladesh.
The team will next face Australia on Wednesday in their upcoming World Cup fixture.
