MANILA, Philippines – The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) has once again reduced its key policy rate by 0.25 percentage points, bringing it down to 4.75 percent. This move comes amid growing concerns about infrastructure-related corruption, which has negatively impacted economic growth.
“The outlook for growth has softened in the near term,” BSP Governor Eli Remolona Jr. said during a press briefing.
