Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Friday highlighted the state’s rich uranium reserves and its potential contribution to the manufacturing of nuclear weapons.
Addressing the Defence East Tech symposium, Soren stated that his government is fully prepared to cooperate with the Centre to help make the defence sector self-reliant.
“Jharkhand is endowed with uranium and can contribute to nuclear weapon manufacturing. The state government is ready to cooperate fully with the Centre to make the defence sector self-reliant,” he said.
Uranium plays a key role in the development of nuclear weapons, making Jharkhand’s resources strategically significant.
