Were Turkish & Indonesian Presidents’ Speech Supporting Two-State Solution For Israel-Palestine Conflict Cut Short? Here’s What We Know | VIDEO

**New York City – UN Conference on Palestine: Erdogan and Prabowo Voice Support for Two-State Solution**

At a United Nations (UN) conference on Palestine held alongside the UN General Assembly in New York, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto expressed strong support for a two-state solution to resolve the longstanding Israel-Palestine conflict.

Both leaders emphasized the urgent need to end the violence and address the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza. However, shortly after their speeches, speculation arose on social media that their addresses had been interrupted or cut short.

Türkiye’s Communications Directorate later clarified that President Erdogan was not interrupted during his speech. His remarks were limited to five minutes, in accordance with standard UN technical procedures applied to all heads of state.

### Erdogan’s Remarks at the Conference

President Erdogan congratulated countries that have recognized the state of Palestine, describing their moves as “quite important” and “historic.” He reiterated the necessity of a ceasefire in Gaza, unimpeded humanitarian access, and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the region.

Erdogan also criticized the expansion of Israeli settlements in the West Bank, efforts to impose a fait accompli in East Jerusalem, and the deepening occupation of Palestinian territories. He warned that these actions undermine any prospects for the establishment of a Palestinian state.

Furthermore, he accused the Netanyahu government of attempting to forcibly remove Palestinians from their lands, declaring that such policies “can never be allowed.”

### Prabowo Offers Peacekeeping Support

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto described the Gaza situation as a “humanitarian disaster happening before our eyes” and condemned all acts of violence against civilians.

Highlighting Indonesia’s commitment, Prabowo announced the country’s offer to deploy peacekeeping forces to help halt the conflict. He reaffirmed Indonesia’s support for a two-state solution and outlined the nation’s stance on recognition, stating that Indonesia would recognize Israel only once Israel formally acknowledges Palestinian independence.

“We remain committed to the two-state solution in the Palestine problem,” Prabowo told delegates, urging the international community to unite and work together to end the humanitarian crisis.

### Conference Aims and Context

The conference, co-chaired by France and Saudi Arabia, aimed to revive the two-state solution and intensify diplomatic efforts towards a lasting resolution.

Erdogan and Prabowo’s speeches follow recent recognitions of Palestine by the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, and several European countries, signaling a growing international momentum to support Palestinian statehood and peace in the region.
