The Tennessee Titans have completed interviews with seven candidates during the first week of their head coaching search, the team announced on Saturday. The organization also confirmed that the first round of candidate interviews is not yet complete, with more scheduled for next week.
General Manager Mike Borgonzi and other team officials interviewed the following initial candidates: Colts defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo, former Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett, Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph, Titans interim coach Mike McCoy, Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy, Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, and former Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski.
In addition to these interviews, the Titans have requested meetings with several other candidates, including former Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel, Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter, Rams defensive coordinator Chris Shula, Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith, 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh, and Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley.
The team is conducting this search to find a replacement for Brian Callahan, who was fired during the season. The Titans are focused on identifying the best candidate to lead the franchise moving forward.
