SEC Launches Southeast Asia’s First Green Equity Guidelines
MANILA, Philippines — The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has launched Southeast Asia’s first Green Equity Guidelines, paving the way for Philippine companies with sustainable initiatives to attract more investors.
The corporate watchdog on Thursday released SEC Memorandum Circular No. 13, which provides eligibility guidelines for companies wishing to carry the Philippine Green Equity label.
Under this new framework, companies committed to environmental sustainability can now showcase their efforts and gain recognition in the investment community, potentially increasing their access to capital.
