Arches, they’re back in a catwalk, and beautiful primary suite views showcase what Edmonton’s latest lottery home grand prize could look like. The home, a 2025 BILD Edmonton Metro Awards of Excellence in Housing finalist (Best Single Family $850,000 to $1 million category), is reminiscent of classic estate offerings and carries a timeless elegance.
This stunning residence draws you in with open, comfortable spaces and captures your attention with interesting features like an arched book nook—a perfect, cozy escape from the everyday. It even surprises you with a hidden space, ideal if you want your own private time.
But this show home, the Georgia, located in the southwest neighbourhood of Jagaré Ridge, is just an example of what you could win as the grand prize in what was previously known as the Cash & Cars lottery.
For its 25th anniversary, the lottery—supporting the Alberta Cancer Foundation—has been rebranded to put its cause front and centre. It is now known as the Alberta Cancer Foundation Lottery.
“Not enough people were connecting that buying a Cash & Cars lottery ticket was a way to help in the battle against cancer,” said Ryan Kelly, vice-president of communications for the Alberta Cancer Foundation. “That’s not what we wanted. We wanted people to quickly understand that the ticket they were purchasing directly supported Albertans. When they buy that ticket, they’re part of this incredible community of people who are committed to eradicating cancer in this province.”
