The Union Cabinet has approved the establishment of 57 new Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs), which will benefit over 86,000 students across the country.
These new schools will be sponsored by state governments and the Home Ministry, ensuring collaborative efforts to enhance educational infrastructure.
Among the 57 KVs, Balvatikas will be introduced under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, supporting early childhood education initiatives.
The new Kendriya Vidyalayas will be strategically located to cover aspirational districts, Left Wing Extremism (LWE) affected areas, the North Eastern Region (NER), and hilly districts. This will significantly improve access to quality education in underserved and remote regions.
Additionally, the project will generate 4,617 permanent jobs, contributing to employment opportunities while strengthening the education sector nationwide.
This expansion of Kendriya Vidyalayas reflects the government’s commitment to inclusive and widespread educational development across India.
