**Sahara Group Employees Protest in Lucknow Over Pending Salaries and PF Dues**
Lucknow: Hundreds of employees of the Sahara Group gathered at the company’s Gomtinagar-based “Sahara City” premises on Tuesday to stage a protest demanding clearance of long-pending salaries and provident fund (PF) contributions.
The workers raised slogans against the management and halted work, expressing deep frustration over their financial situation. They alleged that their PF deposits have not been made since 2014 and that salaries have remained unpaid for several months.
Many employees said they had devoted their entire careers to the group, only to face severe financial hardship during their retirement years. One senior employee voiced the collective sentiment, stating, “Our future has turned dark. We gave our lives to Sahara, but now our lifetime earnings are stuck. First give us our money, then close the company or do what you want.”
The protesting staff warned that if their demands are not addressed promptly, they would escalate the agitation and pursue legal action to recover their dues.
Notably, no senior Sahara Group officials were present during the protest, nor has the company issued any official statement so far. This absence has only added to the employees’ anger and frustration.
The workers have called upon the state government and the labour department to intervene immediately. They have also made it clear that they will continue their protest until their pending salaries and provident fund contributions are fully cleared.
