A 26-year-old nurse working at Lilavati Hospital recently reported the loss of a valuable gold ring and some cash from the hospital’s changing room locker.
According to the FIR, Nurse Bhosale, who resides in Borivali West, removed her gold ring on October 1 at 8:30 pm as the hospital prohibits staff from wearing ornaments during work hours. She placed the ring, valued at Rs 56,150, inside a small plastic box and kept it in her purse, which was stored in the hospital locker.
The following morning, around 8:00 am, after completing her shift, she retrieved her purse and boarded an auto rickshaw to travel to the railway station. When she opened her purse to pay the auto driver, she noticed that Rs 150 and the gold ring worth Rs 56,000 were missing.
In response, Nurse Bhosale filed a complaint with the Bandra police. A case was registered against an unidentified person under Section 380 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which deals with theft in a dwelling house, by means of transportation, or in a place of worship.
