**Bhopal Metro Rail Safety Team to Inspect Priority Corridor Next Week**
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) team is scheduled to visit the city next week to inspect the eight metro stations along the priority corridor. This inspection follows their earlier visit on September 25, when the team reviewed the metro train and depot facilities.
After completing the metro station inspections, the CMRS team will provide the necessary sanction for the commercial operation of the metro. The government aims to launch metro train services within this month.
According to sources from the Metro Rail Corporation, the CMRS team could arrive any day next week. On Tuesday, S Krishna Chaitanya, Managing Director of the Metro Rail Corporation, conducted a thorough inspection to assess preparations ahead of the CMRS visit. He reviewed critical infrastructure, including the metro stations’ entry and exit gates, escalators, control room, fire safety track, power supply system, security arrangements, and lift facilities.
The CMRS conducts two rounds of inspections covering metro depots, trains, and stations before granting permission for public operations. Insiders revealed that work remains ongoing at three of the eight metro stations. Authorities are working against the clock to complete these tasks before the CMRS team’s arrival.
