To evaluate the extent of the damage caused by the heavy rains, Minister Rane personally visited affected coastal areas and interacted directly with fishermen to better understand their challenges. During his inspection, he instructed officials to conduct a panchanama (damage assessment report) and ensure that immediate relief measures were put into action without delay.

Minister Rane had been consistently following up with the Chief Minister regarding compensation for the fishing community. His persistent efforts culminated in the Cabinet’s approval of the ₹100-crore relief package, providing much-needed support to those impacted by the recent calamity.
