The 46-year-old foreign national, originally from Anambra State, Nigeria, and currently a resident of Hyderabad, has a complex history involving various business ventures across Nigeria and Cameroon. After spending seven years working as a heavy truck conductor in Cameroon, he returned to Nigeria seeking better opportunities. There, he attempted to establish an optical business but faced financial setbacks.
On August 14, 2014, he arrived in India on a Medical Visa valid until September 23, 2014, landing at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi. He initially worked in a restaurant for three years while also exporting clothes to Nigeria. Due to irregular salary payments by the restaurant management, he moved to Bangalore, joining another restaurant before eventually relocating to Hyderabad.
In September 2024, he settled in the Attapur area of Hyderabad, residing in a rented house. During his stay, he engaged in procuring ganja from Pune and Mumbai, selling it at higher prices in Hyderabad to earn easy money and sustain a lavish lifestyle.
His visa expired on September 23, 2014, and his passport expired on January 16, 2016. Since then, he has been residing illegally in India, associating with drug peddlers and partaking in unlawful activities.
He was apprehended after being found wandering suspiciously within the limits of Tolichowki Police Station. During interrogation, he failed to provide valid documents or a proper explanation regarding his stay in Hyderabad. Upon thorough inquiry, he admitted to overstaying in India without a valid visa or passport.
To facilitate his repatriation to Nigeria, the Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) initiated the deportation process in coordination with the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) in Hyderabad. An Emergency Travel Document was obtained from the Nigerian High Commission in New Delhi to replace his expired passport and visa. Additionally, an Exit Permit was secured from FRRO Hyderabad.
His travel arrangements were finalized with a ticket booked from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad. The deportation was scheduled for the early hours of October 9, 2025.
On October 9, 2025, a team from H-NEW, led by Inspector G. S. Daniel, escorted and deported the individual, Onuorah Solomon Chibueze, to Nigeria, effectively preventing any further engagement in activities detrimental to national security.
The entire apprehension and deportation process was conducted by Inspector G. S. Daniel of H-NEW, Sub-Inspector C. Venkata Ramulu, and other staff members of H-NEW.
