**Capricorn Group Unveils the 01 Zagato: A Limited-Run Stylish Supercar with Carbon-Fiber Body and V8 Engine**

German company Capricorn Group, known for supplying components to Formula 1 and other racing clients, has introduced its very first supercar—the 01 Zagato. This mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive machine features a striking carbon-fiber exterior crafted by the renowned coachbuilder Zagato, emphasizing an emotional driving experience over modern tech and screens.

### Impressive Engine Specs and Performance

Under the hood, the 01 Zagato packs a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 engine sourced from Ford, paired with a five-speed dogleg manual transmission. This powerful combination generates an astounding 888 horsepower and 1,001 Nm of torque, delivered exclusively to the rear wheels.

Performance-wise, the supercar can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under three seconds and achieve a top speed of 360 km/h, offering thrilling driving dynamics for enthusiasts.

### Bespoke Components and Advanced Technologies

Capricorn Group has incorporated several custom-built parts in the 01 Zagato, including a dry pump lubrication system, specially designed crankshaft and pistons, and a unique exhaust system. The car also features a proprietary ECU tune alongside specialized ABS software to optimize driving precision and safety.

The braking system consists of carbon-ceramic brakes with six-piston Brembo calipers housed behind 21-inch Capricorn-designed wheels, available in lightweight alloy or carbon fiber options.

### Luxurious and Functional Interior

Inside, the cabin showcases exposed carbon fiber combined with switchgear made from solid titanium and aluminum, highlighting the car’s premium craftsmanship. The seats are upholstered in Connolly leather with Alcantara accents, and buyers have the opportunity to customize their interior to suit personal tastes.

Instrumenting the driver’s cockpit are three analog gauges positioned behind a leather-wrapped steering wheel, equipped with only two buttons — a start-stop and a drive mode selector — reinforcing the car’s driver-focused ethos.

### Aerodynamics and Chassis Design

Unlike many supercars that rely heavily on visible aerodynamic elements, the 01 Zagato employs “internal airflow management” and a meticulously designed underfloor to generate consistent and significant downforce. Additional aerodynamic features include front and rear diffusers along with a subtle rear airfoil.

Beneath its stunning exterior lies a carbon-fiber chassis, incorporating a monocoque structure, crash members, and front and rear subframes, ensuring rigidity and safety without compromising weight.

### Limited Production and Pricing

Capricorn Group plans to commence production of the 01 Zagato in the first half of 2026, but only 19 units will ever be made. Notably, these exclusive supercars will not be available in the United States.

With a price tag of €2.95 million (approximately $3.4 million), the 01 Zagato is poised to become a highly coveted collector’s piece for automotive connoisseurs around the world.
