**Goa Yogasana Team Shines at 6th Junior and Senior-C National Yogasana Championship 2025**
*Panjim:* The Goa Yogasana team brought laurels to the State at the 6th Junior and Senior-C National Yogasana Championship 2025, held recently in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.
Pampamdevi, a talented athlete from the team, clinched a bronze medal in hand balancing and a silver medal in forward bending yoga in the Senior C category, marking a significant achievement.
Other notable performances came from Senior C athletes Prashant Wagadre, Kalpesh Mulgaonkar, Brahmanand Gaude, Sonali Kotharkar, and Prarthana Naik. These athletes showcased impressive skills across various yogic poses and different yoga events, demonstrating their dedication and expertise.
The junior team members, including Aman Naik, Rafik Karadgi, Arif Khan, Mihir Alavani, Sahana Neugi, Priya Bind, Tanuja Bogvekar, and Purva Gawade, also put up a commendable performance. Their remarkable flexibility and balance highlighted their talent and potential in the sport.
The national championship featured participation from teams across States and Union Territories of India, making the competition both fierce and prestigious. The outstanding performance of the Goa Yogasana team is a true testament to their hard work and commitment.
Team manager Hema Chopdekar, Yogasana Sports Association of Goa (YSAG) President Sulakshana Sawant, and General Secretary Sandesh Barazankar congratulated Pampamdevi and the entire team on their remarkable achievements. They expressed their best wishes for continued success in their future endeavors.
The championship was organised by the ‘Yogasana Bharat’ organisation, recognised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. It is also an associate member of the Indian Olympic Association and was conducted in association with the Andhra Pradesh Yogasana Sports Association.
