WWE Teases Possible End of Beloved Tag Team Pretty Deadly
WWE has recently hinted that the future of the acclaimed tag team Pretty Deadly may be in jeopardy. One member of the duo required medical attention during a recent segment, while the other star remains sidelined with an injury.
On tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown, Kit Wilson appeared alone, marking a rare sight since he is usually seen alongside his tag team partner, Elton Prince. The two form the tight-knit Pretty Deadly team, known for their chemistry and previous championship reigns — having held the NXT UK Tag Team Championship once and the NXT Tag Team Championship twice. Despite their past success in NXT and NXT UK, the pair have struggled to replicate that success on WWE’s main roster.
Wilson was seen alone in the office of General Manager Nick Aldis, where they discussed various issues affecting SmackDown, including the topic of toxic masculinity. Notably, the absence of Elton Prince went unaddressed during the segment, fueling speculation given that Prince has been out of action due to injury for some time.
During the segment, Wilson also appeared to hint at the possibility of embarking on a singles career. This was further highlighted when Damian Priest unexpectedly attacked Wilson in the office, leaving him down and in need of medical assistance called for by Aldis. This attack has led many fans to speculate that Pretty Deadly might have officially split, though WWE has yet to confirm the status of the tag team.
The Last Time Pretty Deadly Teamed Up
Kit Wilson and Elton Prince last teamed together on WWE programming over four months ago. The team’s last match took place on May 2 against Fraxiom, during which Elton Prince appeared injured and unsteady. Since that encounter, the duo has not been seen competing together.
While Wilson has remained active on WWE’s Main Event and other shows, Elton Prince has yet to make a full return. His ongoing absence and the recent solo appearance of Wilson suggest that Prince may not be back in action any time soon.
Fans will be closely watching upcoming WWE programming for any further updates on the status of Pretty Deadly and the future paths of Kit Wilson and Elton Prince.
