The Falcons will have key contributors active for Sunday Night Football against the San Francisco 49ers. Starting right tackle Jake Matthews and offensive player Darnell Mooney are both set to play in the upcoming contest.
For Jake Matthews, this game marks his 184th consecutive start, setting a Falcons franchise record. Despite dealing with an ankle injury earlier in the week, Matthews did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday but was limited in practice on Friday, ensuring he is ready to take the field.
Darnell Mooney is returning from a hamstring injury that sidelined him during Monday night’s win over the Buffalo Bills. So far this season, Mooney has recorded seven receptions for 79 yards across three games, making his presence valuable for the Falcons’ offense.
On the opposing side, Mac Jones will make another start for the 49ers as Brock Purdy remains sidelined due to a toe injury. Additionally, wide receiver Juan Jennings is active despite managing multiple injuries.
The 49ers’ inactive list includes Brock Purdy, receiver Ricky Pearsall, defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos, running back Jordan James, offensive lineman Drew Moss, cornerback Upton Stout, and receiver Jordan Watkins.
For the Falcons, outside linebacker Jalon Walker, cornerback Billy Bowman, receiver Ray-Ray McCloud, offensive tackle Jack Nelson, and defensive tackle LaCale London are inactive for Sunday’s game.
