One of WWE’s top heel factions, The Vision, has undergone a massive change. The group is now left without a leader, as Seth Rollins has not only been kicked out but will also remain out of action for the next few months due to injury.
Just when it was assumed that The Visionary would spearhead this faction with additional new members, he was surprisingly thrown out. Along with this, Rollins has been stripped of his WWE World Heavyweight Championship. To determine the new champion, Jey Uso and CM Punk will square off at Saturday Night’s Main Event (SNME) next month, on November 1, 2025.
While CM Punk had already qualified to face Rollins last week on RAW, Jey Uso secured his spot by winning the Battle Royal held this week at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, CA. Notably, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed were not allowed to compete in the Battle Royal by General Manager Adam Pearce, which left The Vision’s members visibly displeased.
With Seth Rollins out of the picture, The Vision is expected to take some action under new leadership at WWE SNME next month. So, who is the new leader of The Vision?
It’s none other than Roman Reigns.
The Tribal Chief is set to ally once again with Paul Heyman as part of The Vision. Roman has worked closely with Heyman for nearly four years in WWE (2020-2024), during which his career reached new heights. Throughout their alliance, Reigns remained the Undisputed WWE Champion.
At SNME, Roman Reigns can make a powerful return as the new leader of The Vision, potentially wreaking havoc. It’s speculated that he could ambush both CM Punk and Jey Uso before their match concludes, possibly causing a disqualification. Reigns can then insert himself into the title match, turning it into a triple-threat contest at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames next month.
This move would bring the One True Champion (OTC1) back into the title picture after being without the gold for the past year and a half. Additionally, Roman Reigns returning as the new leader of The Vision makes narrative sense, given his recent tensions with his cousins, The Usos.
Roman has reportedly been angry with The Usos since WWE Crown Jewel PLE, largely due to Jey Uso’s actions. During their match against Bronson Reed at Crown Jewel, Jey mistakenly speared Reigns through a table, allowing Reed to take advantage and pin Reigns for the win. Since then, Reigns has expressed frustration with The Usos and told them he doesn’t want to see them until Christmas.
At SNME, Reigns could ambush Jey Uso and his bitter rival CM Punk on Paul Heyman’s instructions.
From a storyline standpoint, Reigns reclaiming the World Heavyweight Championship also fits well. Jey’s initial title run was considered underwhelming, while CM Punk’s reign was short-lived—he won the title at SummerSlam but dropped it to Seth Rollins just five minutes later.
Putting the gold around Roman Reigns’ waist again would also be beneficial for WWE’s business, as he remains one of the company’s top revenue generators.
It remains to be seen how exactly Roman Reigns will make his comeback in WWE, but the stage is set for significant developments at SNME and beyond. Fans will be eagerly watching to see how The Vision evolves under the Tribal Chief’s leadership.
