Beth Mooney starred with a blistering 138 off just 75 balls, propelling Australia to an imposing total of 412 runs in the third and final WODI against India at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Coming in at 150/2 in the 22nd over, Mooney’s explosive innings helped Australia secure a 43-run victory.
This performance marked Mooney’s second WODI century against India, highlighting her consistent dominance over the Indian bowling attack. Let’s take a closer look at the Australian batters who have scored multiple WODI centuries against India.
### Beth Mooney – 2 Centuries
Mooney’s 138 in Delhi is the highest individual score by an Australian batter against India in WODIs. She reached her century in just 57 balls, equaling Karen Rolton’s record for the third-fastest hundred in Women’s ODIs.
Her other century versus India came in the 2021 Mackay match, where she scored an unbeaten 125 off 133 balls. Opening the innings that day, Mooney’s heroics led Australia to a comfortable five-wicket win.
### Alex Blackwell – 2 Centuries
Former opener Alex Blackwell also boasts two WODI hundreds against India. Her maiden hundred was scored in the 2008 Canberra match, where she posted an unbeaten 106 off 145 balls, helping Australia reach 281/3 before winning by 118 runs.
In another Canberra encounter against India in 2016, Blackwell scored 114 off 112 balls while batting at number four. Her pivotal innings guided Australia to 276/6 and a 101-run victory.
### Karen Rolton – 2 Centuries
Australian legend Karen Rolton is another standout with two WODI centuries against India. Her first came in the 2005 Women’s World Cup final in Centurion, where she scored an unbeaten 107 off 128 balls at number three, steering Australia to 215/4. India was subsequently bowled out for 117.
Rolton’s other ton was in Canberra in 2008, scoring 101 off 91 balls to help Australia post 276/6 and secure an emphatic 118-run win.
These remarkable batting displays have cemented the reputations of Mooney, Blackwell, and Rolton as some of Australia’s finest performers against India in Women’s ODIs.
