This 2013 Lexus GX460 was acquired by the seller in 2019 and has since undergone extensive modifications, transforming it into a capable overland vehicle. The truck features an Icon Vehicle Dynamics suspension lift kit, 17″ EVO Corse DakarZero bronze-finished wheels wrapped in 285/75 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 tires, ARB air-locking front and rear differentials, and 4.56:1 Nitro gears. A matching spare tire is mounted on the dual swing-away rear carrier.
Power comes from a 4.6-liter 1UR-FE DOHC V8 engine with VVT-i variable valve timing, factory rated at 301 horsepower and 329 lb-ft of torque. This engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, a Torsen limited-slip center differential, and ARB air-locking front and rear differentials. The truck’s drivetrain is further enhanced by 4.56:1 Nitro gears. An ARB twin-motor air compressor is installed under the hood using a Slee Offroad bracket, and SDHQ battery terminals have been fitted. The oil was changed in April 2025, and the battery was recently replaced in preparation for sale.
Suspension upgrades include the Icon Vehicle Dynamics Stage 7 kit, which features remote-reservoir CDCV front coilovers, remote-reservoir rear shocks, tubular upper control arms and rear trailing arms, an adjustable track bar, dual-rate rear springs, and hydraulic rear bump stops. These upgrades not only improve off-road capability but also enhance ride quality.
The exterior is finished in Tungsten Pearl with orange and black 3M vinyl graphics applied in 2019. Additional modifications on the body include a custom TrailReady front bumper, a Warn winch paired with a Factor55 flatlink, a Dobinsons air intake snorkel complemented by a Sy-Klone International pre-filter, a Roambuilt roof rack, PIAA auxiliary lights, rock sliders, a Kurt receiver hitch, and a Dobinsons rear bumper with dual swing-outs. Some wear is noted with rust on the rear bumper and broken lower rear light assemblies. The seller also mentions that some tire pressure sensors require replacement, and the tire pressure monitoring light is currently illuminated.
Inside, the seating surfaces are trimmed in Ecru leather that extends to the center armrest and door panels. The heated and ventilated front seats, along with heated outboard rear seats, provide comfort for all passengers. Features include a Switch Pros customizable panel installed to the left of the steering column, a Goal Zero portable power station, WeatherTech floor mats, three-zone automatic climate control, and a 10.3″ touchscreen multimedia system with navigation. The leather- and wood-trimmed steering wheel fronts a 140-mph speedometer, tachometer with a 5,900-rpm redline, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level.
The cargo area has been expertly outfitted with a Goose Gear platform and drawer system, a National Luna fridge, and an MSA Drop Slide system with a cage — perfect for organized and accessible storage during adventures. Notably, the third-row seats have been removed to accommodate this setup.
This Lexus GX460 was featured in a 2020 issue of 4WD Toyota Owner Magazine and won the “10 Best Overland Vehicles” award at the 2019 SEMA show. With approximately 119,000 miles on the odometer—32,000 of which were added under the current ownership—it is offered with various off-road accessories, the removed third-row seats, spare parts, build and maintenance records, two magazines featuring the vehicle, a SEMA award trophy, and a clean Oregon title in the seller’s name.
Please note that the Carfax report indicates at least one open recall. Overall, this overland-built J150 GX460 represents a well-maintained and highly capable SUV, ready for its next adventure.
