**What’s the story?**
Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali Foods Limited has announced a significant price cut across its entire product range. This reduction applies to both food and non-food items, lowering the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) of various popular products. The move comes ahead of India’s implementation of next-generation GST reforms, set to take effect from September 22.
Under the new GST framework, the existing four-rate system will be replaced by two main slabs of 5% and 18%, while a higher 40% rate will be retained for luxury and sin goods. Patanjali’s price revisions appear to align with these changes, aiming to make its products more affordable for consumers.
**Nutrela Soya Range Sees Major Price Cut**
Among the notable reductions, the Nutrela soya product range has become more budget-friendly. The 1kg pack now costs ₹190, down from ₹210, while the smaller 200g pack has dropped from ₹50 to ₹47.
**Biscuits, Cookies, and Noodles Get Cheaper**
Patanjali’s biscuits and cookies have also been discounted. The popular Marie Biscuit (225g) is now available for ₹27, compared to the earlier price of ₹30. Similarly, Twisty Tasty Noodles (50g) has been reduced to ₹9.35 from ₹10, and Atta Noodles Chatpata (60g) is now priced at ₹11.25 instead of ₹12.
**Personal Care Products See Price Reductions**
In the personal care segment, prices have been trimmed as well. Dant Kanti Natural toothpaste (200g) now costs ₹106, down from ₹120. The Kesh Kanti hair care range has also been lowered, with prices now ranging between ₹89 and ₹106.
**Wellness Items and Others**
Health and wellness items such as Amla and Giloy juices have become more affordable, with price cuts of ₹6 to ₹10 per bottle. Cow’s Ghee (900ml) is now priced at ₹731, reduced from ₹780. Additionally, soaps and cleansers like Neem Kanti (75g) are now available for ₹22, down from ₹25.
**Conclusion**
These price cuts reflect Patanjali’s commitment to offering quality natural products at more affordable prices to consumers across India. With the upcoming GST reforms, the brand is positioning itself to maintain competitiveness while promoting wellness products accessible to all.
