Law enforcement authorities are investigating an explosion that occurred on Harvard Medical School’s campus outlets early Saturday morning.
According to reports, two individuals were seen running away from the Goldenson Building around 3 AM after a fire alarm was triggered. A Harvard University Police Department officer responded by ascending to the fourth floor of the building, where it was discovered that an explosion had taken place. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.
The Boston Fire Department’s arson unit conducted an initial assessment and stated that the explosion “appeared to be intentional.” Subsequently, Boston Police conducted a sweep of the building to check for other incendiary devices, but none were found.
Harvard University Police have released photos of the two suspects, both of whom were wearing masks to conceal their identities.
In addition, the FBI’s Boston field office has confirmed to Fox News Digital that they are also investigating the incident in coordination with Harvard Police.
Authorities continue to seek information regarding the suspects and urge anyone with relevant details to come forward.
