Bob Dylan has never endorsed a political candidate. However, Zohran Mamdani has used Dylan’s song, “The Times They Are A-Changin’,” on his Twitter feed. It’s unclear whether Mamdani secured permission or cleared the copyright—he probably didn’t.
The only time Dylan has publicly spoken about politics was to praise Barack Obama. Dylan is also Jewish and a longtime supporter of Israel. Given this, it’s doubtful he holds a positive opinion of Mamdani. Additionally, Dylan certainly doesn’t need free bus rides.
