### Step 2: How to Catch Diancie
The Diancie promotion adds a new side quest titled **“Shine Bright Like a Gemstone.”** To start this quest, meet up with Emma in the game. She and her companion Mimi will inform you of strange psychic energy in the area, triggering the quest.
You’ll then follow Mimi through Lumiose City, which eventually leads you to a special zone where Diancie awaits. Be prepared—Diancie will be flanked by two Carbinks, so you may need to battle them or even catch one if you want to add it to your team.
Make sure you come prepared with plenty of Poké Balls and status-inducing moves to increase your chances of capturing Diancie.
