**Ducks Rally to Defeat Stars 7-5 Behind Leo Carlsson’s Short-Handed Goal**
DALLAS (AP) — Leo Carlsson’s short-handed goal midway through the third period proved to be the game-winner as the Anaheim Ducks rallied to beat the Dallas Stars 7-5 on Thursday night.
Carlsson scored on a slap shot 10:38 into the third period to give the Ducks a 6-4 lead. Troy Terry assisted on the goal.
Chris Kreider contributed two goals, while Cutter Gauthier, Olen Zellweger, and Ian Moore each added goals for Anaheim. Mason McTavish sealed the victory with an empty-netter. The Ducks secured their fifth straight win and their seventh victory in the last eight games. Lukas Dostal finished the night with 21 saves.
For Dallas, Wyatt Johnston scored twice, with Roope Hintz, Tyler Seguin, and Mikko Rantanen also finding the back of the net. Miro Heiskanen provided four assists, but the Stars fell 7-5, losing for the third time in four games. Jake Oettinger made 18 saves, and Dallas saw its seven-game points streak come to an end.
