Three years after “Un Verano Sin Ti” became the first Spanish-language album to earn a Grammy nomination in the Album of the Year category, Bad Bunny’s latest release, **“Debí Tirar Más Fotos”** (“I Should Have Taken More Photos”), has earned him the nod once again.
Adding to this milestone, the album’s title track also earned nominations in the **Song of the Year** and **Record of the Year** categories. This recognition makes Bad Bunny the second Spanish-language act to appear in these categories and the first to appear across the “big three” — Album, Song, and Record of the Year — in the same year. (For context, “Despacito” was the first Spanish-language song to appear in both the Record and Song categories back in 2018.)
The genre-expansive and culturally empowering album, *Debí Tirar Más Fotos*, notched a total of six Grammy nominations on Friday. In addition to the major categories, Bad Bunny is also up for **Best Album Cover** (a new category), **Best Música Urbana Album**, and **Best Global Music Performance** for the song “EoO.”
Released on January 5 through Rimas Entertainment, this sixth solo studio album follows his previous record, *Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana*, which was nominated for a Grammy in the Música Urbana Album category in 2025. That album lost to Residente’s *Las Letras Ya No Importan*.
*Debí Tirar Más Fotos* also inspired Bad Bunny’s expansive 31-date residency in Puerto Rico over the summer. The 17-track record features música jíbara, or Puerto Rican folk music, a staple of the island’s musical and cultural traditions. The album tackles themes of political resistance and cultural pride, reflecting Bad Bunny’s deep connection to his roots.
“At the peak of my career and popularity, I want to show the world who I am, who Benito Antonio is, and who Puerto Rico is,” he said upon the album’s release. “Seeing it come to life has brought me immense happiness. I’ve always been honest with my followers, and through this new production, they’ll continue to learn more about me as I, too, discover more about myself.”
