ATLANTA (AP) — Kowacie Reeves Jr. scored 18 points, and reserve Akai Fleming added 14 as Georgia Tech defeated Bryant 74-45 on Friday night.
Baye Ndongo and Mouhamed Sylla each contributed 10 points for the Yellow Jackets (2-0), with Sylla also grabbing 11 rebounds. Ten Georgia Tech players scored in the game, showcasing the team’s depth.
For Bryant (0-2), Timofei Rudovskii scored 12 points, and Quincy Allen added 10. The Bulldogs struggled from the field, shooting just 25% (15 of 60) overall and 10.5% from three-point range (4 of 38). Bryant also attempted 16 free throws compared to only 10 for Georgia Tech.
Georgia Tech jumped out to an 18-6 lead in the first 10 minutes and never trailed. Reeves hit a 3-pointer with 7:13 remaining in the first half, doubling the lead to 24-12. The Yellow Jackets led 39-22 at halftime.
Early in the second half, Ndongo drained a 3-pointer to give Georgia Tech its first 20-point lead of the night at 42-22. Later, a 12-2 run capped by a 3-pointer from Craft pushed the advantage to 54-24, sealing the outcome.
