How to Complete the Flickering Threat Quest in ARC Raiders
The Flickering Threat quest and other later-game missions in ARC Raiders can be challenging if you’re not prepared to enter high-threat locations and search for specific items or interactable objects. While these quests don’t usually take too long once you know what to look for, it’s important to be ready for the threats you’ll encounter along the way. Step 1: Repair the Generator
First, you need to head to the western portion of the Power Generation Complex on the Dam Battlegrounds. Your task is to repair a generator, then turn on the power at a nearby ventilation shaft.
Although this sounds simple in principle, the Power Generation Complex is a high-traffic area and is often patrolled by a Rocketeer and support ARC, making the mission more challenging.
To get started, go to the westernmost section of the Complex. Enter through the door beneath the upper platform near the stairs. From there, head through the door directly across from you and continue down the hallway. Pass one more door, go down some stairs, and then enter the door on your left.
Now inside the generator room, move left past the first generator and interact with the glowing yellow pipes on the second generator. Make sure you have at least four Wires in your inventory to complete this generator repair step.
Once you repair the generator, you will complete the first phase of the quest.
Step 2: Turn On the Power at the Ventilation Shaft
Next, return to the surface and head toward a nearby broken ventilation shaft. The power switch you need to activate is located underneath the stairs inside this shaft.
The easiest way to locate the ventilation shaft is to set your waypoint east from the North Complex Elevator Extraction Point. The shaft appears as a tall building with a broken roof.
As you approach, be cautious to avoid the Rocketeer roaming the area. Once inside the ventilation shaft, go down the stairs and find the power switch. Flip the switch to restore power and complete the Flickering Threat quest.

- Prepare sufficiently before entering the Power Generation Complex—expect enemy encounters.
- Ensure you have at least four Wires in your inventory to repair the generator.
