ATLANTA (AP) — Micah Tucker’s 18 points led Georgia State to a convincing 90-56 victory over Fort Valley State on Thursday.
Tucker shot 5 of 9 from the field, including 4 for 7 from three-point range, and went a perfect 4 for 4 from the free-throw line to help the Panthers improve to 1-3 on the season.
Malachi Brown contributed 17 points, hitting 5 of 13 shots from the floor, including 4 for 9 from beyond the arc. He also made 3 of 4 free throws and pulled down seven rebounds.
Joah Chappelle added 16 points for Georgia State, shooting 6 for 12 overall and 3 for 4 on three-pointers, while grabbing a team-high 12 rebounds.
For Fort Valley State, Derek Delgardo Jr. led the Wildcats with 15 points.
