Williams driver Carlos Sainz’s girlfriend, Rebecca Donaldson, took to Instagram and reacted to the Spaniard securing a Top 3 result during the 2025 F1 Las Vegas GP qualifying. The Williams driver beat the likes of Oscar Piastri and Charles Leclerc and will start the race from the second row behind Lando Norris. The heavy downpour before the Las Vegas GP qualifying led to an interesting session with tricky conditions. The low track grip, along with standing water, led to full wet tires being used in Q1 and Q2. Carlos Sainz was comfortably able to get into Q3 and seemingly had pace for a Top 5 start. Going into Q3, the conditions improved, and the drivers switched to the intermediate tires. In what was a session affected by yellow flags, Sainz managed to qualify P3 as he set a lap time just 4 tenths slower than Lando Norris and was half a tenth away from Max Verstappen’s P2 time. Carlos Sainz’s girlfriend, Rebecca Donaldson, took to Instagram and shared Williams Racing’s post about the Spaniard’s qualifying effort in her story. As she shared the story, she reacted to it with a “🔥” emoji. Rebbeca Donaldson was present at the Las Vegas GP to support her boyfriend and embraced the Williams driver after the session. Donaldson is a Scottish model and is often spotted in the paddock during the race weekend. Carlos Sainz and Rebbeca Donaldson started dating in 2023 and were first spotted together in Milan. The model soon started featuring in the Ferrari garage to support the Spaniard before the relationship was confirmed. The Scottish model was also present at the circuit for the 2025 US GP at the Circuit of the Americas. When not on track, she supports her boyfriend by uploading stories on her Instagram account. Carlos Sainz escapes a penalty following a summons by the stewards after the Las Vegas GP qualifying The Williams driver was summoned by the stewards after the Las Vegas GP for the alleged breach of article 33. 3 (Drivers must make every reasonable effort to use the track at all times and may not leave the track without a justifiable reason). Carlos Sainz joined the circuit ahead of George Russell at Turn 5 as the Mercedes driver was approaching. The FIA reviewed the matter and heard from the drivers, and revealed their decision of “No further action” against the Williams driver. Sainz took his first podium for Williams at the 2025 Azerbaijan GP and will be in with a shot at it as he starts P3 at Las Vegas. The Williams also suits the low-downforce characteristics of the Las Vegas street circuit. However, the Spaniard would have to defend from the likes of Oscar Piastri, Charles Leclerc and the two Mercedes to finish on the podium.
