MAGA TV host Eric Bolling made an eyebrow-raising claim on Tuesday regarding responsibility for the shooting that killed one National Guard member and critically wounded another.
Just before Thanksgiving, authorities reported that 29-year-old immigrant Rahmanullah Lakanwal, of Bellingham, Washington, shot two National Guard troops just a couple of blocks from the White House. One of the troops died in the shooting, while the other has been recovering in a hospital, according to reports. Lakanwal has pleaded not guilty to murder.
On Tuesday’s episode of his eponymous show on Real America’s Voice, Bolling floated a new theory about who is to blame for the shooting. “There are just far too many living in our country, right here on our soil, who wish to do us harm, who want us dead,” Bolling said. “And they were hand-delivered to us by Joe Biden. Actions have irrefutable consequences, and one of the most disastrous presidencies in our nation’s history will continue to have ripple effects for many, many years, even decades.”
Lakanwal immigrated to the U.S. from Afghanistan in 2021 with a special visa created by the Biden administration for Afghan nationals who aided the U.S. military. He was granted residency in April of this year.
