Today was a big day for Creative Assembly and fans of the Total War series. The developer hosted a Total War-focused showcase, sharing most of its future plans for the beloved franchise.
One of the highlights was the announcement of **Total War: Medieval 3**, which is currently in early development. While the game is still some time away from release, the news has already excited longtime fans eager to return to the medieval battlefield.
In addition to this, **Total War: Warhammer 3** is set to receive more content. The upcoming **Lords of the End Times** DLC pack was officially announced and is scheduled for release in summer 2026. This expansion will introduce new Legendary Lords, units, and gameplay mechanics, expanding the Warhammer 3 experience.
The first Legendary Lord revealed for this DLC is **Nagash, the Great Necromancer**, who will join the Vampire Counts faction. Given Creative Assembly’s tradition of including around three new Lords in their DLC packs, fans can expect additional Lords to be unveiled in the lead-up to the summer 2026 launch.
Today also saw the release of the **Tides of Torment** DLC, bringing a fresh collection of Lords for factions such as the High Elves, Slaanesh, and the Warriors of Chaos. This new content promises to enrich gameplay and offer new strategic options for players.
Creative Assembly and Sega unveiled these exciting updates during an anniversary presentation, celebrating the Total War series and its continuing growth. With Medieval 3 in early development and new Warhammer 3 expansions on the horizon, there’s plenty to look forward to in the coming years for Total War fans.
