The nominations for the 83rd Annual Golden Globes will be announced on Monday, marking the last major awards season announcement in December. This follows recent honors unveiled by prominent organizations such as the American Film Institute, the Gotham Awards, the Los Angeles Film Critics Association, the National Board of Review, and the New York Film Critics Association.
Actors Marlon Wayans and Skye P. Marshall will announce the nominees across 28 film and television categories, including a new category this year for Best Podcast. The announcement will begin at 8:15 a.m. ET / 5:15 a.m. PT. Additionally, 11 exclusive categories will be revealed at 8:30 a.m. ET / 5:30 a.m. PT during a special segment on CBS Mornings, airing on CBS-TV.
Fans can watch the nominations live on free TV via CBS Mornings. The announcement will also be streamed live online, with nominations posted in real-time on the Golden Globes’ official social media accounts and listed on their website shortly after all nominees are revealed.
Unlike the Oscars, which typically feature five nominees per category (and ten for Best Picture), the Golden Globes will have six nominees in each category this year. An exception is the Outstanding Cinematic and Box Office Achievement category, which will have eight nominees.
Looking ahead, the 83rd Annual Golden Globes ceremony is scheduled to air live on Sunday, January 11, 2026, from 8–11 p.m. ET / 5–8 p.m. PT on CBS-TV and will also stream live on Paramount+. Comedian Nikki Glaser will return as host, following her debut at the 82nd Annual Golden Globes.
Among the frontrunners, Director Paul Thomas Anderson’s action comedy *One Battle After Another* enters the Golden Globe race with Best Film honors from the Gotham Awards, the New York Film Critics Circle, and the National Board of Review. Meanwhile, *Sinners* leads with 17 Critics’ Choice Awards nominations, closely followed by *One Battle After Another* with 14 nods, and *Frankenstein* and *Hamnet* each receiving 11.
Stay tuned for the full list of nominees, starting Monday morning at 8:15 a.m. ET / 5:15 a.m. PT on CBS Mornings and online.
