SAGINAW COUNTY, MI — A Saginaw hospital welcomed its first newborn baby of the New Year, and he is absolutely adorable.
The milestone event took place at Covenant HealthCare Children’s Hospital, where the first baby of 2026, a boy named AJ, was born at 5:49 a.m. on Thursday, January 1.
Baby AJ weighed in at 7 pounds, 6 ounces, according to a hospital news release.
His proud parents, who asked not to be named, received a basket of goodies on behalf of the hospital to celebrate the occasion, Covenant said.
