Woodford County Schools Superintendent Scott Hawkins spoke at the annual Roots and Heritage Committee’s 7th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Unity Breakfast. During his speech, Hawkins highlighted the greatness of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Jesus as exceptional teachers who have inspired many.
Later that day, despite the chilly 15-degree weather, marchers courageously walked from Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard to the First Baptist Church in a show of unity and remembrance.
Additionally, Woodford County Economic Development Authority Chairperson John Soper addressed the Versailles City Council, discussing important matters impacting the local community.
